I hit the clearance jackpot today at Harris Teeter! I walked in and there was a cart full of medicines on clearance. I immediately opened my binder to start matching my coupons up to the items. My entire shopping list was thrown out once I realized that just about everything would be FREE in the cart with my coupons! It gets even better, when the cashier rang them up, the items were not found so she had to manually enter the products and manually enter the coupons which doubled. I ended up with OVERAGE!!!
Here is what I got:
3 Triaminic - Reg $6.29, Sale $2.14 - $1 coupon = $0.14 each
6 Blistex - Reg $1.99, Sale $0.68 - $1/2 coupon = -$0.64
3 Airborne Gummes Reg $2.19, Sale $$0.74 - $1 coupon (She entered the coupon as $0.74 and the couputer doubled it so I ended up Neg $0.74 for each one!) = -$2.22
2 Comtrex Reg $$5.99, Sale $2.04 - $1.50 coupon = -$1.92
2 Bayer Quick Release Reg $5.39, Sale $1.83 - $1 coupon = -$0.34
3 Vicks Lozenges Reg $4.99, Sale $1.70 - $1 coupon = -$0.90
1 Eye Of Round Roast Reg $6.42, Sale $3.76
2 Prego Heart Reg $3.88, Sale $2, $1 coupon = FREE
1 Loaf of Bread
2 Packs of Cigs for my husband
(I had 2 Robitussin but as I was checking out I noticed that they expired in 2009 so I asked her to take them off, but she only took one off, so I am going to have to return the other one)
Saved $89.99
Spent $0.95
= 99% Savings!!!
I am jumping up and down in my seat right now!!! I guess I will have to get my regular groceries tomorrow!
