Swagbucks - What's the deal?

If you were like me, I had never heard of SwagBucks, then all of a sudden people are talking about it everywhere!! So I signed up and thought I'd give it a try. After 4 months and about $100 worth in Amazon gift cards later, I'm a believer!!
So what is SwagBucks anyways? SwagBucks is a FREE search engine just like google and yahoo. You must sign up for a SwagBucks account to earn bucks.
Every so often when you search you will be rewarded with a random amount of Swagbucks, it could be 5, it could be 50!
So what's so special about those bucks, well head on over to the swagstore. There you can redeem those swagbucks for actual items, like amazon and paypal gift cards!!
So why in the world would a search engine do this??? When you search, you’ll see ads up at the top (just like other search engines) and basically they are giving you a cut of the advertising dollars they earn.

Some helpful tips on what I do:

1. I make it a point to do a few searches everyday until I win some Swagbucks.
2. I watch WUC for Swag Codes. Codes sometimes are hidden and they give you hints. Those add up quick!
3. I talk about swagbucks a lot. I get referrals that way. Referrals are a great way to earn extra swagbucks! Get your friends to sign up!!
4. When I search, I search real words. I'll be honest, I prefer google. So when I head over to swagbucks, I generally am searching to get bucks. If I search real words, I generally win faster.
5. Another hint is to hit the button twice. What do I mean by that. Well if I search 'coupons' and don't get any bucks, i hit 'search' again. I win a lot that way. I generally though only hit the button twice.
6. Download the toolbar. I often win 1 or 2 bucks just for using it!
SwagBucks add up quick!! Currently it takes 450 to get a $5 Amazon gift card. I save all those gift cards for christmas and then will be using them to get nice presents!!!
